I drew each frame by hand using reference videos and edited the final iteration by adding audio and visuals in Premiere Pro.
Modern Love is a rotoscope animation, where each frame was hand drawn and edited together to create the final piece.
As someone who experienced the frustrations of online dating, I wanted to create a satirical piece that pokes fun at gen-zs in the digital light.

Rotoscoping is SO TIME CONSUMING... but so is anything that transforms a vision into a masterpiece. Throughout my time working on this project, I learned valuable transferable skills for future experiences.
Although I am proud of what I achieved with my first rotoscope animation, there is still so much left for me to learn and I hope I can bring my insights with me to future animation projects.
